ic!Berlin Midtown graphite/brutal blue

$459.00

  • Hybrid frame made of 0.5mm thick stainless steel sheet and polyamide.
  • The temples have an adjustable length, which can be set by sliding the eartip. Available sizes (mm): 130, 140, 150.
  • Flexible and sturdy construction, assembled by interlocking elements. No glue or screws.
  • An interesting feature of this type of joint is its response to excessive pressure. The temples detach from the frame—much like skis releasing during a fall—reducing the risk of damage.
  • Made in Berlin.

The frame and temples are made from polyamide powder, fused into a solid form according to a digital data set. The selective laser sintering (SLS) process is one of the most precise and costly technologies in 3D printing. Originally developed in the mid-1980s for prototyping, it is now used for manufacturing finished products — such as this frame.
