Inspired by the colorful Moroccan city, the name Port Tanger perfectly conveys the brand’s aesthetic – a place that has absorbed a variety of cultures, shapes and colors. The peculiarity of its geographical location makes the port in Tangier both a gateway to Africa and a portal to Europe, a place where the stormy waves of the Atlantic meet the calm waters of the Mediterranean. The name of each model is metaphorical, referring to the North African heritage. Despite its style, the brand is based in the Netherlands, and the glasses themselves are made in Japan. Port Tanger was founded in 2019 by Bilal Fella and Daniel Sumarna. The sculptural and massive glasses stand out on the face, and thanks to the rounded silhouette, they fit most shapes.
