The brackets are made by one of the few craftsmen in Sabae who still uses the SHINBARI technique of splitting the acetate blank of the brackets into two parts and then inserting a metal rod between the layers of acetate. The metal rod of the brackets is hand-carved by a craftsman using traditional Japanese ornaments.
