Inspired by the vibrant Moroccan city, the name Port Tanger perfectly reflects the brand’s aesthetic—a place that embodies a blend of diverse cultures, shapes, and colors. The unique geographical location makes the port in the city of Tangier both a gateway to Africa and a portal to Europe, where the turbulent waves of the Atlantic meet the calm waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Each model’s name is imbued with a metaphorical reference to North African heritage. Despite its stylistic inspiration, the brand is based in the Netherlands, while the glasses themselves are manufactured in Japan. Port Tanger was founded in 2019 by Bilal Fellah and Daniel Sumarna.
