We share basic skills for choosing an eyeglass frame
This is rather technical information for choosing the first frame, which should not be decisive for all subsequent cases. After all, the selection of such an accessory as glasses cannot be reduced to a set list of rules, without taking into account personal preferences.

1. Size.

In a well-fitting vision correction frame, the pupils are located in the central area of the glasses. Usually, the frame parameters have the form “aa□bb xxx” and indicate the width of the lens, the nose bridge and the length of the temples in that order. To determine the overall size, it is better to focus on the width of the glasses or the first value “aa”. Let’s reduce it to a clear dimensional grid:
| S: | 44-49mm |
|---|---|
| M:49-53mm | |
| L:54mm+ |
The photo shows the frame in size M(51). The length of the temples is a variable value that is set by the curvature of the temple. If you already have glasses, it’s time to pay attention to their parameters, most likely they are engraved on the inside of the frame.

2. Form.

It is important to understand what type of frame suits you best. We recommend choosing a frame that contrasts with your face. For example, rectangular and angular frames suit rounded faces, and sharp features, on the contrary, look good in rounded frames. Pay attention to how an elongated oval face with sharp features is combined with small rounded glasses.

3. Landing.

Sometimes, glasses just don’t fit, even if the size and shape are correct. In the store, our master aligns the frame on your face and adjusts the fit. For online orders, we will check the geometry of each model and customize it to universal parameters. If the frame has metal nose pads, you can adjust them yourself. Significant changes to the fit should be made by a master in the manufacture and repair of glasses.
